Sikkim popularly known as the most beautiful and peaceful tourism destination in India has been closed for tourist as per the the Covid 19 lockdown norms of the Government.

Tourism in Sikkim is the only and most viable industry in Sikkim where most of its local population are engaged in business through self sustainable business on the tourism industry in Sikkim.

SKM government in Sikkim under the Chief Ministership of Shri. P. S Golay Tamang is in constant contact with tourism entrepreneurs and local stakeholders in tourism industry of Sikkim as to how the local economy can be sustained with the present and future strategy considering the health and safety issues for both the service providers and tourist in Sikkim.

In order to have a focus and establility in maintaining the forthcoming tourism practices and policies laid by the Chief Minister P. S Goyal of the SKM government in Sikkim, Shri. Lukendra Rasaily has been appointed as the President of SKM Tourism Wing in view of present and future study and analysis of the effects caused by the pandemic lockdown due to Covid 19.
