First Review Meeting on digitalization of tourism ease of business with Stakeholders was held at NIC office, Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok.

The main objective is Creating Eco-Systems for computerization of operations and activities of the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation. All the organisation of different tourism stakeholders were present in the meeting including senior tour operators and travel agents of Sikkim.

Mr. Jayakumar, additional chief Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation also briefed on the Amendment of Sikkim Registration of Tourist Trade 1998 Act (Act 10 of 1998) and related rules and policies.

The meeting focused upon digitalization of restricted and protected areas permits, trade license and renewals, an online interface for visitors and service providers along with tourist information on various destinations of Sikkim that will be showcased online for the efficient delivery of the services to the tourist visiting Sikkim in after the lockdown is opened for tourism in Sikkim.
