Considering the safety to the visitors who come to travel to Sikkim for weekend trips, honeymoon tours, trekking and mountaineering, solo female travel or bike tour to Gurudongmar and north Sikkim will be given the priority for Sikkim permit and entry to such tourist having the prior confirmation of their tour to Sikkim will be welcomed as a priority tourist by the norms of the Government of Sikkim.

It has been decided by the tourism department of Sikkim that the tourist permit to Sikkim including that of RAP and PAP will strictly be issued through the local Sikkim tour operators who are registered with the Sikkim tourism department.

Local tour operators are being protected by the Sikkim Government for ease of doing business and following the footsteps of Vocal for Local as envisioned by the Modi government for the holistic and local economic development and growth in India.

Henceforth, tourist permit to Sikkim will be issued to local tour operators in Sikkim as economy through tourism is being looted by outsiders and vested tour operators, taxi owners, hoteliers who come to Sikkim to make a hay while the Sun shines. Support locals.
