My personal experience visiting Meghalaya at Mawsynram had been so memorable trip meeting friendly local people and also visiting local families as they welcomed me for a local dinner. I travelled around with a local guide who was reliable and knowledgeable, he shared folk tales, local cuisine and culture, guided me do and don'ts and I avoided night journey as u as told. Over all, I great experience visiting North East, and at the trip was taking me back home, a visit to my Friends at Amalopatty, Nawgaon in Assam was even remarkable to find their hospitality and care, chicken with honey is never to be missed while at Assam which my friend Bobita Saikia and family made for me with host of other Assamese dishes. Before I left for my home in Sikkim, I stayed at Madhumita's home stay in Guwahati, a short distance taxi drive away to an amazing home stay with a local Assamese host, over all my trip to North east had been a great journey especially with a company and guidance of local Guide Mithou, Mrs. Bobita Saikia and Mr. Shymal Nath, and at Guwahat home stay Mrs. Madhumita Dutta and Sir Raju Dutta.
